she is also the dam of DZ Miekki, among others.
Her dam is Twice the fire who is by Baskadandi he is a multi national champion in western pleasure. He is a *Bask grandson.
Fire's dam is Gitana who is by El Kumait who is by Farana who was a horse famous for his athletic ablity.
There is a story about Shadow dam Fire she had to have colic surgery and in order for her owner to get it done she gave the horse to the vet, last I heard the mare ws soing just fine 7 years later. Shadow has that kind of heart too.

The History or Story Behind My Shadow
I bought Shadow the same weekend that I moved. I had seen her about 6 month earlier and fell in love but she was priced way over my head.
My husband likes to play the ponies at the racetrack and won a nice amount and so when we got the call that weekend the money was in hand. I couldn't meet her right away so I told her it had to be later that night, she called back and dropped the price 100 dollars so I just dropped the packing and it was at 9 pm in the dark that I made the deal, I never even tried her out just handed over the money, it was much needed to make a house payment. I was the new owner of a purebred arab mare. Protrained and just lovely. I wish I could find her old owner to tell her how much I love this horse.

Her foals
Well so far Shadows only foal has been Fanta Sea Breeze.
I had bred her to a very nice appy stallion but it was very hard on her because he was so big, he stood over 16 hands so when she lost the foal due to a bought of a virus going around I just didn't have the heart to send her back there.
My freind had just aquired a nice stallion that was dun, and a gentleman. With the biggest stoutest leags and hooves I have ever seen on a quarter horse. This was Adobe Dust, so when she came in again I sent her over to him not expecting her to take. But lo and behold she took and foaled a beautiful little dun with an arab head, and stripes galore. My first horse of color!
