Fani and Shadow
this is my two horses, a mother daughter combo. Shadow is by Basks Silver Shadow (*Bask X *Dschirha) and out of Twice The Fire (Baskadandi X Gitana) Fani is by the Quarter horse Adobe Dust, who is foundation bred. Update: Fani has been sold, she had a problem with an allergy to something in my area-it is very wet and mushroomy here and it is my (and the vets) belief it was something that grows here on the coast. so she went to a new home inland. I will miss you. I know that your new owner Mikayla will love you. Well Fani has a new mom now, her name is Kimberly. She will be using her in high school rodeo. Congrats Kimberly. |
Florence is the best place to ride
Pristine beaches that are mostly empty, great for galloping on or just moseying on down. They do get a bit breezy in fact I was thinking this summer of changing the name of my farm to Wicked Winds. LOL I could also have a name that included the fog perhaps foggy cold wicked wind ranch would be a more descriptive name.
But then there are the days where it is so beautiful and calm, (yes even in the winter) perfect for a long ride. |
Oregon Coast Horse Association
We have lots of local trails to ride here, and the beach is always fun too. With 2 local horse camps close by with trails its an easy drive to go horse camping. One of my favorite things to do. Lots of work but really fun and relaxing. There is just something about riding all day and then gathering around a campfire at night to chat and have a good time until we get so sleepy that we crawl into bed. Then get up the next morning to the wilderness and another day to do it all over again. Yes horse camping is the best. Maybe I will see you out on the trails?
